The transition from childhood to adulthood has been a long journey for me filled with lots of challenges and amazing learning experiences. Having graduated my high school in New Delhi, I had an opportunity to go to St. Stephen’s College in Delhi for my Bachelor degree majoring in Computer Science. While in College, I was actively involved with Shakespeare Society and not only acted in a number of plays but also worked backstage. I also kept myself involved with Informal Discussion Group and assisted organizing Annual College Festival "Harmony" and annual "Graduation Dinner".

Having graduated from St. Stephens’ College, the uncanny desire which I had and still have in me forced me to finally pursue my career in the field of electronic media because of the current globalization of television and computer network signaling an intensification of broadcasting and mass media that reached with an enormous impact upon local economies, politics and culture thereby, compelling me to go to Xavier’s Institute of Communication in Bombay for my diploma in Communication Art. As a student of Xavier’s Institute of Communication of St. Xavier’s College, I learnt a great deal in different aspects of communication including Film & TV Production.

Thereafter, I worked for Plus Channel (India) Ltd. in Bombay as an Assistant Director for a game show "Jaldi Jaldi" and feature film "Gudgudi". As an Assistant Director for "Jaldi Jaldi" I was responsible for pre-production, shooting and post-production and as an Assistant Director in Gudgudi, I was responsible for clap and maintaining costume and shot continuity. Later, I worked for PSL Universal McCann as a Film Executive, a sister concern of McCann Erickson, US based premiere advertising agency of the world. As a film executive, I had the opportunity to deal with the client such as proposing the idea and getting the script and music approved where I also had the opportunity to design and implement the marketing campaign for Mahindra's Tractors and Hyundai. I was also made responsible for the pre-production, shooting and post-production of the ad-film division. Later, I had an opportunity, as a free-lancer, to organize (Event Management) an annual exhibition for TERI (Tata Energy Research Institute) in New Delhi.

Soon after, I had to leave for United States of America to work for Philip Morris USA where I devised and implemented the extremely successful advertising & marketing campaign for the Japanese venture of Marlboro that led the company make US$ 125 million investment in Japan.I have also worked for BMS in New Jersey and assisted them in designing data-bases in Oracle and MS-Access. I have also assisted in direction and production as a free-lancer for the TV commercials of Philip Morris for its products "Miller Beer" and "Marlboro" and R.J Reynolds’ "Camel" for their Japanese ventures.

My academic, professional and personal experiences both in India and United States has provided me an excellent credential in order to seek to understand how mass media and telecommunication affects people’s attitudes, beliefs and behaviors, thereby helping me to challenge and study different ways of understanding human society, their custom, culture and religion with radically differing experiences, news and beliefs in atmosphere that encouraged me to question ideas, got in to the depth of the problems and seek their solutions in order to have a tough but long-lasting and consistent wins; thereby developing in me deep critical thinking and analytical abilities and exercising research techniques which has cultivated in me a personal writing style so as to reproduce a meaningful and interesting visual representation of language and culture.
